FoMM: Autumn planting and rabbit wrap up (17 May 2009)

The Friends of Mount Majura will be conducting their May working bee on Sunday 17th May 2009. The purpose of this working bee will be assisting native vegetation re-establishment at the drainage line by planting a wildlife corridor of local shrubs.

The group is inviting individuals to arrive early for an introduction session and morning tea. At lunch time, staff of Parks, Conservation and Lands will be talking about the rabbit control project currently carried out within north Canberra nature reserves.

The Majura Scouts will run a “Thank-You” BBQ for volunteers who helped with rabbit mapping and with planting; please RSVP for catering purposes if you plan to attend / stay for the BBQ.

When: Sunday, 17 May 2009, from 10.00 am; lunch BBQ and rabbit info at 12.00 pm
Where: Meet at the lower Hackett reservoir off Rivett and French Streets in Hackett
Bring & Wear:
Sun protection, sturdy boots, garden gloves and a bucket
