In the April 7 edition of the City Chronicle, three members of the Watson Community Association were interviewed by Rebecca Thistleton in regard to the redevelopment of the Australian Heritage Village site. In the article there is a discussion of the loss of woodland, recreational facilities and community space.

In accordance with the Airports Act 1996, Canberra International Airport is required to prepare and submit a draft Master Plan for the approval of the Minister for Transport and Regional Services, for a 20 year horizon every five years.
