Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery/assault, Acton

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery and assault which occurred in Acton early today (Friday, January 29).

Around 5am, the 22-year-old man was assaulted in Childers Street by another man. The victim was struck and kicked several times, causing swelling and lacerations to his face. His wallet and contents as well as his passport were stolen.

The offender is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 5’9” tall (175cm) with shoulder-length dark, straight hair and a thin build. He was clean-shaven and wore jeans and shoes.

The offender was in the company of up to three other Caucasian men in a silver sedan. The offender first spoke with the victim in front of Mooseheads nightclub on London Circuit.

ACT Ambulance Service attended to assess the victim’s injuries and subsequently conveyed him to Calvary Hospital for further assessment.
