Canberra Times: Wine group plans $15m hotel complex

The National Capital Authority has recently issued Draft Development Control Plan (DCP) No:171/10/0002 in response to proposals for a renewed service station/restaurant on the Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) site; and a $15million hotel complex on the Kamberra winery site on Northbourne Avenue in north Canberra. Senator Humphries statement regarding ASIO building

In July 2009 the North Canberra Community Council approached Senator for the ACT Gary Humphries for direct comment in response to the following article that was published on the NCCC website: ABC News: New ASIO HQ branded ‘barbed wire city’ Senator Humphries replied to the original NCCC email request indicating that he would be making further statements in the next few days. Changes to Parking Rules – effective 15 March 2010

Following updates to the Australian Road Rules, some changes have been made to parking rules in the ACT, effective 15 March 2010. Traffic rule changes have also been implemented. The parking changes relate to: stopping a vehicle on a painted island; parking in time limited areas; parking in a Road Related Area; and parking in marked bays.
