Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to theft of motor vehicle parts, Watson (8 January 2010)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the theft of approximately $50,000 worth of motor vehicle parts stolen from a hire truck at the Formule 1 Hotel car park overnight in Watson. The property stolen includes Billet brand shifters manufactured in Melbourne by Billet Products Australia which were due to be sold at this years Summernats car festival.

ACT Policing: 24/7 patrols planned as police gear up for Summernats

ACT Policing is scheduling around-the-clock traffic enforcement patrols of the areas surrounding Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) and additional patrols of the city’s entertainment precincts over the Summernats car festival period beginning today (Thursday, January 7). Police intend to clamp down rigorously on any irresponsible and/or dangerous driving behaviour and have issued a reminder to all motorists that under ACT legislation, police have the power to seize vehicles for burnouts, menacing driving or street racing on public roadways.

Crimestoppers: Police seek witnesses to incident in park, Civic (1 January 2010)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in Glebe Park in Civic yesterday (January 1). Around 12.55am four victims all aged 19 (three females and one male) were in the playground area of the park on Akuna Street when they were approached by a group of about 12 youths consisting of approximately ten males and two females.

ACT Policing: Police to focus on anti-social behaviour this New Year’s Eve

ACT Policing will provide high-visibility patrols to police anti-social behaviour and alcohol related offences in Civic and across the ACT during the New Year’s Eve celebrations. Around 130 police officers will be working across the ACT to maintain law and order. In addition to normal response capabilities, ACT Policing will be dedicating resources towards the early targeting of underage drinking.

Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery in Braddon (29 December 2009)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in Braddon yesterday (December 29). Around 10.55pm a man in possession of a knife entered a liquor store on Lonsdale Street and demanded money. The man working behind the counter complied with the demand. The entire incident took less than a minute after which the offender ran from the store with a substantial amount of cash in an easterly directly along Elouera Street. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Crimestoppers: Police investigate act of indecency, Civic (28 December 2009)

ACT Policing is investigating an incident which occurred in the Canberra Centre in Civic yesterday (December 28). About 10.40am a 29-year-old woman was cleaning a disabled toilet in the shopping centre when a man entered, closing the sliding door behind him. The man then pulled down his trousers and conducted an indecent act in front of the woman. The victim quickly left the toilet.
