On 21 October Russell Yell of Cardno, Eppell, Olsen gave a presentation to the North Canberra Community Council (NCCC) on a review being undertaken on ACT cycling and pedestrian networks. The review of Canberra’s commuter bicycle network is part of the Sustainable Transport Action Plan. One of the main priorities of this review is to ensure there is an equal emphasis on the needs of commuter cyclists, recreational cyclists and pedestrians, including visually and mobility impaired people.
Curfew for Canberra will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 5 November 2009. ACT Policing is investigating an incident which occurred on Monday October 5, when a woman was grabbed on the breast by an unknown man. The assault occurred in The Canberra Centre around 3.20pm outside the Vodafone store, as the 25-year-old victim was walking past the offender.

If removal was recommended by the NCA there would be a period of public consultation before the removal is officially gazetted.
